Kaloud Lotus I+3 Heat Management Device
The Kaloud Lotus I+3 is a heat management device with a stainless steel base and an aluminium wall and lid. It holds four large coconut cubes and runs about 90 minutes. It replaces foil. It is the bigger, longer running version of the Lotus I+.
Shisha vaporizes rather than burns. The useful window is roughly 130 to 220 degrees Celsius. Past 220 to 250 the tobacco enters pyrolysis, and that is where the harshness and the scorched taste come from. Foil gives you no way to hold that window. The Lotus does, and the I+3 holds it for half again as long as the I+.
What the stainless base changes
The I+ is aluminium throughout. The I+3 puts stainless steel where the coals actually sit. Steel holds heat longer and takes abuse better, which is why this one carries four cubes instead of two without running away from you. The wall and lid stay aluminium so the whole thing does not become too heavy to handle.

Which one you actually want
Buy the I+ if you smoke alone or in pairs on standard bowls. Buy the I+3 if you run large bowls, dense cut tobacco, or a group where the hookah stays lit for two hours. The extra capacity is the whole point. If your sessions end before the coals do, the I+ is the better object and it costs less.
Three heat settings
- Lid off. Lowest heat. Use it while the bowl comes up, or to pull back a bowl that has gone hot.
- Lid on, vents open. Medium. Where most of the session lives.
- Lid on, vents closed. Maximum. Dense cut tobacco and the back half of a long session.
You change setting by turning the lid. No tongs, no lifting coals.
Finishes
Original silver, Niris in black, and Auris in gold. The finish does not affect performance. All three are the same device.
Care
Never preheat the Lotus I+3. Bring your coals up on a burner and transfer them. Direct flame on the device damages it and voids the warranty. Let it cool fully before cleaning, then wipe the interior with a dry cloth or a soft brush.
Buying a genuine Lotus
The Lotus is the most copied product in hookah. Counterfeits use unspecified alloys, run hot, and carry no warranty. 5StarHookah is a contracted Kaloud dealer. Every unit here comes directly from Kaloud with the Limited Lifetime Warranty intact.
